Sustainability Manager - Africa

Main responsibilities Develop and deliver sustainability strategy, aligned with global targets and customer requirements. Lead programmes covering sustainable agriculture, farmer livelihoods, human rights, forestry, environmental performance and greenhouse gas emissions. Ensure sustainability data, traceability systems and customer reports are accurate and supported by evidence. Oversee audits, external verification and corrective action plans. Identify ESG risks and advise senior management on priorities and mitigation. Manage the team and coordinate delivery across operations, HR, finance and compliance. Ideal candidate 8+ years’ relevant experience , including senior leadership across multiple functions. Experience in agro-processing, agricultural supply chains, manufacturing or origin operations . Strong practical experience in ESG reporting, audits, data assurance and customer engagement. Ability to turn strategy into operating plans, budgets and measurable results. A relevant bachelor’s degree; postgraduate qualifications and professional certifications are advantageous.
