The Role We are seeking a sustainability professional to support environmental strategy, ESG initiatives, and sustainable development programs. This role combines strategic planning, environmental performance monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and sustainability reporting. The successful candidate will help translate sustainability objectives into practical initiatives, evaluate environmental performance, and identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency while supporting business objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement sustainability initiatives aligned with organizational goals and applicable environmental requirements. Coordinate programs covering energy efficiency, carbon emissions reduction, waste management, water conservation, and resource optimisation. Monitor environmental performance indicators and track progress against sustainability targets. Support ESG assessments, sustainability reporting, environmental data collection, and performance analysis. Coordinate greenhouse gas emissions tracking, carbon accounting, and environmental impact assessments where applicable. Identify environmental risks, compliance gaps, and opportunities to reduce operational impacts. Research environmental regulations, sustainability standards, industry developments, and emerging best practices. Collaborate with operations, procurement, finance, facilities, and other departments to integrate sustainability into business processes. Coordinate sustainability projects, implementation plans, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications. Engage suppliers, consultants, and business partners to encourage responsible sourcing and sustainable practices. Prepare management reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations to support leadership decisions. Evaluate sustainability initiatives using measurable outcomes, cost-benefit analysis, and continuous improvement methods. For director-level responsibilities, contribute to enterprise-wide sustainability strategy, governance, investment priorities, and long-term development planning. Requirements Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in sustainability, environmental management, ESG, sustainable development, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred. Understanding of environmental performance measurement, sustainability reporting, resource efficiency, and environmental risk management. Familiarity with ESG frameworks, emissions tracking, environmental compliance, and sustainability metrics preferred. Strong analytical, research, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret environmental data and translate findings into practical business recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. Strong integrity, accountability, and commitment to responsible business practices.
