Position Purpose Lead practical environment and climate initiatives that reduce risk, improve environmental performance and create measurable benefits for beneficiaries and the organization. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop practical initiatives addressing climate mitigation, adaptation and environmental sustainability. Provide technical input to relevant programs, services and financing activities so environmental considerations are built into design and delivery. Develop proportionate environmental screening, safeguard and risk-management procedures for relevant activities. Review higher-risk proposals or activities, monitor compliance and recommend practical corrective action. Define useful indicators and coordinate collection and verification of environment and climate results. Prepare technical notes, concept documents, reports and learning materials for management and relevant stakeholders. Coordinate with departments, communities, technical partners and authorities and deliver practical awareness or capacity-building activities when required.
