The Role We are seeking a sustainability professional to support environmental strategy, ESG initiatives, and sustainable development programs. This role combines strategic planning, environmental performance monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and sustainability reporting. The successful candidate will help translate sustainability objectives into practical initiatives, identify environmental risks and improvement opportunities, and support the integration of responsible practices into business operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and support environmental sustainability strategies aligned with organizational objectives and applicable requirements. Coordinate sustainability initiatives covering energy efficiency, emissions reduction, waste management, water conservation, and resource optimisation. Monitor environmental performance indicators and assess progress against sustainability targets. Support ESG assessments, sustainability reporting, environmental data collection, and performance analysis. Identify environmental risks, improvement opportunities, and practical measures to reduce operational impacts. Research relevant environmental regulations, sustainability standards, industry developments, and emerging best practices. Collaborate with operations, finance, procurement, facilities, and other teams to integrate sustainability into business processes. Support carbon accounting, greenhouse gas emissions tracking, and environmental impact assessments where applicable. Coordinate sustainability projects, implementation plans, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications. Engage suppliers, consultants, business partners, and internal stakeholders to encourage responsible practices. Prepare management reports, presentations, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership review. Evaluate sustainability initiatives using measurable outcomes, cost-benefit analysis, and continuous improvement methods. For director-level responsibilities, contribute to long-term sustainable development strategy, governance, investment priorities, and organisational change. Requirements Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in environmental management, sustainability, ESG, sustainable development, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred. Understanding of environmental performance measurement, sustainability reporting, resource efficiency, and environmental risk management. Familiarity with ESG frameworks, carbon emissions tracking, environmental compliance, and sustainability metrics preferred. Strong analytical, project management, research, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret environmental data and translate findings into practical business recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. High standards of integrity, accountability, and environmental responsibility. Ability to manage priorities independently in a remote working environment.
