Senior Sustainability Consultant

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Employment Type: Full-time, On-site Experience: Minimum 7 years Company Description SOZO Management Consultants is an Abu Dhabi-based sustainability consultancy specializing in green building certifications, sustainability advisory, energy efficiency, and commissioning services. We work with developers, consultants, and contractors across the UAE to deliver practical sustainability solutions throughout the design and construction stages of building projects. Role Description We are seeking an experienced, technically capable, and proactive Sustainability Consultant / Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience delivering green building certification projects through both design and construction stages , with the ability to independently manage technical deliverables, coordinate with clients, and take ownership of assigned projects. This is a client-facing, project delivery-focused role requiring excellent English communication, strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Independently manage sustainability consultancy deliverables for design and construction-stage projects. Prepare, review, and coordinate Estidama, LEED, and other green building certification documentation and submissions. Review architectural, MEP, and construction documentation against sustainability requirements. Coordinate directly with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Lead technical discussions, attend client meetings, and confidently present findings, project progress, and recommendations. Conduct construction-stage site inspections, compliance assessments, and technical reviews. Monitor project schedules, certification progress, technical deliverables, and deadlines. Identify technical challenges, recommend solutions, and proactively resolve outstanding issues. Prepare clear, accurate technical reports, correspondence, and client presentations. Mandatory Requirements Minimum 7 years of relevant sustainability consultancy experience , in the UAE. Demonstrated hands-on experience delivering green building certification projects during both design and construction stages . Practical experience with Estidama and/or LEED certification processes, technical requirements, documentation, and submissions. Valid Estidama PQP and/or LEED AP accreditation (Estidama PBRS certificate is mandatory). Proven experience communicating and coordinating directly with clients, consultants, and contractors. Excellent spoken and written English , including the ability to lead client meetings, deliver presentations, and prepare professional technical reports. Ability to independently manage project responsibilities, prioritize deliverables, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Valid UAE driver's license and own car , with the ability to independently travel to project sites. Preferred Qualifications Both Estidama PQP and LEED AP accreditation and other green building certifications. Experience with additional green building rating systems such as WELL, Fitwel, BREEAM, or Al Safat. Experience with sustainability assessments and/or carbon calculations (LCA).
