Design Manager (Solar)

About the Role Our client, a solar energy company, is looking for a Design Manager to lead the design and engineering function for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV projects. Key Responsibilities Lead design and engineering for C&I rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects. Manage and develop a team of designers and drafters. Oversee technical design from project inception through completion. Ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards and project requirements. Drive process improvements, technical capability and departmental efficiency. Collaborate with project, commercial and other internal teams. Support technical problem-solving, cost optimisation and project performance. Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field. 8+ years of solar PV design/engineering experience, particularly C&I projects. Proven experience in a design/engineering leadership role. Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical engineering and industry standards. Experience with rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar projects. SEDA GCPV/OGPV or equivalent certification is preferred. Site, testing & commissioning and SCADA experience is an advantage.
