Head of Renewables – Norvex Energy Norvex Energy – A Leelex Group Company Location: Limerick based / Projects Nationwide Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Package: Competitive Salary + Company Vehicle + Performance Bonus The Opportunity Norvex Energy is seeking an experienced Head of Renewables to take ownership of our growing Solar, EV and Renewable Energy division. This is not simply an installation or supervisory position. We are looking for someone with strong technical experience who can lead the department, manage projects, support our installation teams and help drive the continued growth of Norvex Energy. The successful candidate will work directly with Leelex Group management and will have genuine responsibility and autonomy in developing the department. The Role The Head of Renewables will be responsible for the technical and operational delivery of Norvex Energy projects, including: - Solar PV installations - Commercial and domestic EV charging - Battery energy storage systems - Renewable energy and associated electrical installations Responsibilities will include managing projects from initial survey and design through installation, commissioning and final handover. You will also: - Lead and support electricians, apprentices and renewable installation teams - Carry out and oversee site surveys and system design - Plan labour, materials and project requirements - Assist with estimating, quotations and project costing - Coordinate suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors - Monitor project programmes, costs and quality - Liaise directly with clients, consultants and other contractors - Ensure installations comply with current Irish electrical regulations, manufacturer requirements and applicable renewable-energy standards - Oversee testing, commissioning, certification and project documentation - Provide technical support and troubleshooting where required - Help develop procedures and standards for the Norvex Energy division - Work with Leelex Group management on the continued expansion of our renewable-energy offering Who We're Looking For We are particularly interested in hearing from qualified electricians with substantial experience in the renewable-energy sector. Strong experience with Solar PV and EV charging systems is essential. Experience with battery storage, energy management, commercial solar installations and associated renewable technologies would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will also have experience in some of the following areas: - Solar PV design and installation - EV charging infrastructure - Battery storage systems - Electrical testing and certification - System commissioning and fault finding - Commercial electrical installations - Project or site management - Supervising electricians and apprentices - Estimating and project costing - Client and supplier management Previous experience in a management position is desirable but not necessarily essential. An experienced electrician, supervisor or renewable-energy specialist who is ready to progress into a department leadership position would also be considered. What Matters to Us We're looking for someone who can combine technical ability with ownership and leadership. The right person will be comfortable making decisions, solving problems and taking responsibility for delivering projects properly. They should also be commercially aware. Quality and technical compliance are essential, but so are labour efficiency, material control, programme management and delivering projects within budget.
