Head of Sustainability - Manufacturing Carbon Footprint

Senseible · India · Remote · Full-time

Skim JD before you hit APPLY!! This isn’t a job writing one company’s sustainability report every year. You’ll make sure the carbon footprint numbers of hundreds of Indian manufacturers are right, because their buyers in India and Europe depend on them. You’ll be the person manufacturers call when their buyer, bank or exporter asks for carbon footprint data. What we do Large companies need emissions data from their suppliers. Those suppliers are mostly small and mid-sized manufacturers who don’t have the data and don’t reply when asked. Senseible turns a supplier’s bills and production data into numbers a buyer can trust, and gets suppliers to actually send them. The buyer pays, and the supplier uses it free. We made this process as simple as UPI . What you’ll own The method. The platform produces an audit-ready report in minutes. Your job is to make sure it gets there the right way: you’ll check how the calculations run, which factors they use, and where they show uncertainty. When CBAM, BRSR or a buyer’s requirements change, you decide what changes in the method. Every number that leaves Senseible should be one you’d put your name to. Verification. When a report needs a second look, you’re the one who gives it, on a call, in a spreadsheet, or on the shop floor. Industry trust. Sustainability heads, plant owners and cluster leaders should know you as the person who tells them straight whether their data will hold up, and what to fix if it won’t. Your first 90 days Test our numbers against 20 real factories and show me where we’re wrong. Write the rules for when we call data “verified” and when we don’t. Run supplier verification for enterprise clients. This is for you if You know Scope 3 well and have worked with CBAM, ISO 14064, or third-party verification. You’ve worked closely with plants, clusters or industry associations, not just with reports. You’ve seen how a real factory runs and where its data goes wrong. You’d rather fix a wrong number than defend it. This isn’t for you if Your work has mostly been managing reporting cycles and consultants. You need a team in place before you can start. You’d sign off on a number you haven’t checked. What we offer Pay at the top of the industry for this role, plus meaningful equity. We’ll discuss specifics once we know it’s a fit. Fully remote (first 6 months), with travel to plants covered when the work needs it. You’ll work directly with core team, with no layers in between. You’ll shape how manufacturing emissions get measured in India and emerging makets instead of following someone else’s template. We’re early and the team is small, so you’ll build things rather than inherit them. To apply Skip the cover letter.
