Director, Circularity

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Circularity to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will shape and lead circularity strategy with a strong focus on recycling, reclamation, and product end-of-life solutions. The Director will partner across operations, sustainability, logistics, and external stakeholders to improve diversion outcomes and support scalable programs in a consumer goods manufacturing environment. The position also serves as a key connection point for regulatory compliance, partnership development, and customer-facing program execution. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the recycling program strategy and execution, including updated logistics and economics Recommend improvements to increase reclamation capacity and support operational business cases for partnerships Track performance metrics for recycled materials and landfill diversion effectiveness Conduct feasibility analyses of recycling pathways Oversee customer-facing implementation of the recycling program Identify and manage relationships with recyclers and sustainability partners Serve as the point of contact for EPR-related compliance and regulatory developments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred 7+ years of experience in sustainability, circular economy, or environmental regulatory compliance, preferably in manufacturing Experience with Extended Producer Responsibility regulatory frameworks Proven track record managing take-back or recycling partnership programs Familiarity with sustainability tools such as Life Cycle Assessments or Environmental Product Declarations Strong presentation skills with executive presence for technical sustainability content Willingness to travel for stakeholder engagements Benefits Commitment to safety as a top priority Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with company matching contributions Paid time off and holiday benefits Life and disability insurance options Opportunities for career growth and flexible work arrangements Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
