About the Role
As Strategy Manager, you work side by side with the Founder & CEO of Entrix on all things related to strategy: what to prioritize with limited capacity, which strategic bets to place, how to advance, articulate, and communicate the strategy to the team and shareholders. You drive high-impact topics and initiatives that have no playbook with full ownership. With your work, you generate substantial leverage for the CEO and the leadership team. Your Responsibilities
Shape strategy with the CEO: analyze the high-stakes questions no other function owns including the major strategic bets & opportunities Entrix could pursue
Support the CEO’s day-to-day work by picking up ad hoc tasks and preparing analyses, briefings for leadership meetings, internal communications, investor updates and materials for board sessions
Be a trusted sounding board for the CEO and flag risks and opportunities before they become urgent
Lead special projects end to end, from market entry research and hiring for senior leadership roles to early-stage M&A and fundraising, acting as project manager where needed
Act as day-to-day contact for board members and investors
Work across all functions and with external partners to move towards results fast
Your Profile
Mandatory Requirements 3-6 years of experience in a role demanding sharp analytical thinking and high ownership, e.g. management consulting, investment banking/private equity, corporate strategy, startup operations or a prior chief of staff / strategy role
Track record of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and driving them to completion with little oversight
Strong strategic and structuring skills: you break open-ended problems into clear questions and arrive at a recommendation
Comfortable with data, spreadsheets and financial models, and able to build the story behind the numbers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, distilling complex topics into clear, executive-ready materials
Strong organizational acumen: you understand how decisions get made, can navigate competing priorities and informal dynamics with cross-functional stakeholders, and turn that read into momentum
Discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive, confidential information
C1 Level English
Skills to Set You Apart Prior exposure to energy, climate tech or infrastructure
Experience with M&A, fundraising or investor relations
Experience in a fast-scaling environment with multi-country operations
German language skills
This role may not be a fit for you if… You prefer a clearly defined remit over shifting priorities and open-ended problems
You would rather own a single function deeply than work broadly across all of them
You are uncomfortable working without formal authority and influencing through trust
At Entrix, we are committed to diversity of all backgrounds and experiences. You don't need 100% of the preferred qualifications to add incredible value to our team. If you're passionate about what you could accomplish here, we'd love to hear from you. Your Benefits

A Short Note from Your Future Lead
Hi there!
Welcome to Entrix, great to have you on board!
I’m Steffen, Founder & CEO. My way into energy was a happy accident: after studying business and technology management, I started in consulting, hoping to work with automotive and high-tech companies. My very first project was with a large energy company, and I’ve stayed in the industry ever since. For me, it’s the ideal sector to have a lasting positive impact on society while building a successful business. Sustainability in the truest sense!
What fascinates me most about our work at Entrix is the complexity of the technical challenges. In my view, the energy system is the most complex machine humans have ever built, and our goal is to make it run much more intelligently.
Where we stand today: we’re the leading battery optimizer in continental Europe, active in Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain and Portugal, with offices in Munich, Warsaw, Milan and Madrid. We work with partners like MEAG (Munich Re), Encavis and many local utilities, and this summer our first assets went live in Poland. Still a lot to build, and you could be a part of it!
I want Entrix to be a place defined by autonomy, where you have full ownership of your function and your initiatives. That said, you can always count on me to get a project started, spar on ideas, tackle tough challenges or remove roadblocks. I really enjoy that part!
